High speed rail will bring a broader market for aluminum profiles for transportation

With the development of China's high-speed rail and corresponding aluminum profiles and rail transit technology, China's high-speed rail projects are stepping into the world market. On September 3, CRRC held the foundation laying of an earlier manufacturing base in Springfield, Massachusetts, where the old US arms factory Springfield plant is located. According to the semi annual report released by CRRC, the revenue of CRRC in other countries or regions in the first half of the year increased by 60.95%. At present, China is in the peak demand for motor cars. However, with the completion of China's "four vertical and four horizontal" high-speed railway network, this peak will decrease rapidly after 1-2 years. At that time, it is more appropriate for CRRC to expand the international market.
According to the statistics of German SCI company, at present, the global railway market capacity is 162 billion euro, which is expected to grow at an annual rate of 3.4% in the future, to 190 billion euro by 2018. Compared with the saturation of the domestic market, there is a huge space for overseas market development. Meanwhile, CRRC has also made frequent moves in overseas markets this year. At present, only in the field of multiple units, it has already promoted its products in many countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, Iran, Turkey, India and so on.
The expansion of rail transit market will directly stimulate the market demand of relevant materials. Industrial aluminum profile is an important part of high-speed rail industry, and aluminum profile is a better material for realizing lightweight of high-speed rail. The density of aluminum alloy is about one third of that of steel, and the alloy formed by adding certain elements has higher strength than steel alloy. Therefore, when the strength and rigidity meet the safety requirements of high-speed railway carriage, aluminum alloy can greatly reduce the dead weight of high-speed railway carriage. Generally speaking, the aluminum alloy used in a high-speed railway carriage is about 10 tons, and the weight of the whole body is 30% - 50% less than that of all steel. Moreover, it has better corrosion resistance and excellent thermal conductivity. Some data show that when the weight of the vehicle is reduced by 10%, the fuel can be saved by 8%. In the scrap recycling, aluminum products can achieve 100% recovery, recycling aluminum profiles can reduce 95% energy consumption. Because of its obvious advantages, aluminum alloy has become the best choice for aerospace and rail transit. Experts in the industry pointed out that the car body of high-speed train with a speed of more than 300 km / h must be made of lightweight aluminum alloy, and all the carriages above 350 km / h should be made of aluminum profiles except for the chassis. Among the four types of crhi, CRH2, CRH3 and CRH5 used in China's passenger dedicated line, except that crhi type car body is made of stainless steel, the other three types of EMU body are made of aluminum alloy.
According to rough estimates, domestic enterprises have won more than 100 billion yuan of overseas railway orders this year. At present, China is negotiating with 20 or 30 countries for high-speed rail cooperation. China's high-speed rail export is of great significance. The export of high-speed rail is not only the "going out" of a single industry, but also the "going out" of the entire industrial chain, which will drive the development of the upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain, such as rail transit Car body aluminum profile and other related industries are expected to usher in greater market demand and development space, which also means to push domestic industrial aluminum profile brands to overseas markets.
